Saturday May 11, 2019, Garden Conservancy Open Day. 10 AM-4 PM. Plus plant sale by Broken Arrow Nursery, lecture on habitat gardening/bird gardening by me (Margaret Roach) to kick off my newly revamped book “A Way to Garden,” and other local classes in using herbs in food, growing and arranging flowers, mushroom growing and ID, and more. Get the entire day’s schedule (even box-lunch pre-orders!) and reserve a ticket.
Saturday June 8, 2019, Garden Conservancy Open Day. 10 AM-4 PM. Plus plant sale by Broken Arrow Nursery, “Be a Better Birder” lecture and walk/workshop by Kathryn Schneider (formerly president of New York State Ornithological Association, and author of “Birding the Hudson Valley”), wildflower walk with Carol Gracie, and other local classes in food, flowers and more.
Saturday Aug. 17, 2019, Garden Conservancy Open Day and Copake Falls Day. 10 AM-4 PM. Plus plant sale by Broken Arrow Nursery, native plant and pollinator lecture and workshop by Dan Jaffe of New England Wild Flower Society, and other local classes in food, flowers and more. Saturday, March 23, 9th annual Seedy Saturday. Two half-day sessions, 9:30-12 noon or 1:30-4 PM, at Turtle Tree Seed at Camphill Village, Copake, NY. The 9th annual Seedy Saturday, celebrating the coming of spring, will be welcomed back to Turtle Tree Seed in Copake, NY, for talks and all-new demos, followed by hands-on sowing in the greenhouses and lots of Q&A.
