I have also heard the same thing on "The Gardner Guy" on HGTV. This was my first year with peppers, and they started flowering when they were just about 8 inches tall. I pinched the flowers, and they’ve taken off and the peppers are growing really well!
Even though it was a little nerve-wracking removing those first flowers, I definitely recommend it.
