This one stumps me–I wish I could see a jpg photo to have a better idea what is going on. When I have unexplained mysteries like this always contact my local Cooperative Extension office to see if they have the answer, because they are really at the pulse of local weather aberrations, pests and so on that may be affecting things where you garden.
