Hi Margaret, greetings from Atlanta! Just wanted to know if you have any experience with Rice Paper Plant (Tetrapanax Papyiferus)? Last summer I saw it at a garden center here and it was HUGE! I mean seriously the leaves were almost 24" across and I knew i had to have it. The only problem was they didn’t have any for sale at the time, so I kept checking back and in late July noticed that it had sprouted up outside the nursery (they apparently are notorious spreaders). Aha! This was my big chance, so one evening around midnight off I went, shovel in hand, to the nursery. Trying to work quickly and not end up at the local police station, I started digging. Long story short (not!) it pulled through after some serious transplant shock and is about 2′ tall this summer. What kind of location does it prefer? I’m getting conflicting info from various sources. Thanks in advance!
