Hi everyone, We’re looking to re-do a patio. we started with flagstone and made a horrible beginner’s mistake – didn’t put down sand/gravel beforehand. But it was instructive because we discovered how uneven the material is for table and chairs.
So now we’re looking to take up the flagstone and move to another location for a less actively used patio and fire pit. And thinking of just putting down pea gravel where the patio is as an easy, inexpensive solution. We have a stone wall to keep it in.
But I’m wondering if any of you have experience with flagstone and know a way that it could work as a patio (without concrete). Any recommendations? Does this seem like a good plan?
