Glad to be of help. In your situation I’m not sure fertilization is the problem. My trees were long neglected and Davey Tree Service deep fertilization did seem to help. It sounds like your Norway spruce is well loved and fed. Perhaps, the issue is maple shade and water competition. In any case, some interior die back is inevitable since the spruce shades itself.
