I bought 2 small buxus shrubs and pruned them into(sort of) balls. I really want to keep them in containers. I’m in zone 5B and they are rated for zone 5….STILL, winter can be nasty. I think there’s a risk of losing them once it gets really cold. They are double containered, the outer being terracotta which I’ll bring inside before frost. I bought some anti- dessicant spray to help in the winter and thought I would get them off the porch and onto the earth and hopefully ( fingers crossed) It will snow a lot they’ll stay warm and snug and alive. Am I crazy? I didn’t want to plant them but I would if this is just suicide waiting to happen.
