This question recently arrived in our email inbox:
So few people in our area (I’m nearby, in Salisbury CT) seem to have home veggie gardens. I’m hoping that you might offer some advice or perhaps just a consoling word…
My garden is behaving unusually this year – my sense is because we’ve had more rain than usual. Everything is much smaller than usual for this time of year (peas, greens, tomato plants, etc) and I’ve had trouble with bean which just haven’t germinated. (I’ve planted twice and believe they may have drowned – I’ll plant again next week if things dry up a little).
Are you also experiencing a disappointing year in your veggie garden. Or is it just me?
