I planted a Kousa Dogwood last year in a container on my roof terrace and it has had various issues. One thing is the shape– I have pruned it a few times because its new growth has often seemed out of whack with the older branches (large spacing between the two and different scales). It also has burned looking edges on many leaves. Has anyone seen this and know what it might be? I would love any advice on how to prune it (and when) and thoughts about the leaves. It also only flowers in a very small area of the tree, and I wonder if that is common.
