after a few tries, two nice starter rows of kitchen poppies have come up for me, and are 5-8 inches tall now! i’m so excited! but understand that they should be transplanted to the ground, ( i have them in fairly shallow, long, window boxes) because they need 12 inches for proper rooting. is this true of the kitchen variety? (i’ve lost the seed package… oops!). and if so, how many hours of sun is best for them? would you recommend a good pairing?
