My gardens are overrun with this plant – and a number of my garden pals have the same problem. I brought it on myself, bought the seed a few years ago, loved the abundant reddish purple flowers, actually saved seed the 1st year. It now comes up thick as grass, new seedlings appearing on a daily basis. I pull them up, new ones appear. it outcompetes anything else I try to grow – it is truly the kudzu of the northeast. Any help out there?
