groundhog. i saw one sauntering around my garden one morning before squeezing under my back fence to head back toward the creek. after the sighting i now blame him for my munched-on pumonaria and rudbeckia. i did read somewhere that human urine functions as a deterrent…so i enlisted the help of my 4 1/2 year old son and he was more than happy to "mark" our territory. he felt very proud for helping me in the garden. :)
