I’ve been reading conflicting pruning info concerning fig trees. Actually, mine is more of a bush than a tree, has been in the ground about 5 seasons in NJ (zone 7) and gets only about 6 tiny figs by September which never ripen since the days shorten and cooler temps arrive. I’ve been pruning in late fall before I wrap it for winter protection.
