hi – I have a line of old spindly-ish lilacs (which need some work) along our country road in the woods. I’d like to create a (hopefully fast-growing) evergreen hedge planted in front of the lilacs for year-round privacy. Preferably something the deer won’t eat ;). I have a woodland, country, somewhat native plants thing going on. Any thoughts appreciated! Catskill, NY
