Help! Something is eating the petals off of my daisies and cone flowers. All the petals are eaten right up to the center on each stem (and the center remains). Any idea on what could be doing this? I appreciate your feedback!
Sounds like it might be a caterpillar. Have you seen any of these? Helicoverpa zea, the corn earworm, feeds on flower petals as well as ears of corn (and cotton bolls).
