My parents are in their 80’s and still very active. They have a large yard with several oak trees. The oak trees are surrounded by azaleas. They are now having a problem with oak sprouts growing around the azaleas.
Any ideas of ways to prevent the sprouts. Cutting them back works for a short time but they will eventually grow back. I have been researching cardboard mulch as a possibility.
Are they suckers or seedlings? Where (what zone) are you located? What kind of oak trees?
