I want to create a kidney-shaped, raised bed for some new plantings for my garden, and realized that the truckload of soil I’d need for it would be a few thousand dollars. Does anyone know a cheap way of finding lots-o-dirt (besides stealing it from a farm in the middle of the night?)
Is this bed going to be incredibly long and wide, or smaller but extremely deep? There are solutions a *lot* cheaper than ‘thousands’ for either style, but they depend…
(Can’t wrap my mind around ‘thousands’ for a dumpload of soil, even for prime topsoil, which you probably don’t need. Babbling…)
