Thanks Margaret. Besides the bamboo sticks, what other materials would I need to use that would be strong enough? I cut out the old wood about now and then prune back the new growth, but I’m not sure how much is good to do. What would you recommend? I also remember reading that you wrote somewhere "when you used to have annabelle…." or something like that. Did you decide to no longer have them? Did you replace them with someother hydrangea? Am I being shortsighted to be obsessing about replacing them?
