Though most of my violas are in big low bowls or whiskey barrels, I always pot up a few small low vessels for contrast. Here, ‘Terra Cotta’ (left) and ‘Black Delight.’ The latter stretches up way too soon to an ungainly stature for a viola, but I love the deepest of deep purple-black color, so I can’t resist growing it again and again.

Margaret, where do you get those beautiful pots for your violas? I love that the terra cotta looks like basketweave on some of them!
