book cover

Berberis koreana, which I bought at a plant sale at Wave Hill garden in New York City more than a decade ago as little rooted cuttings, is an 8-foot shrub or thereabouts, dense and carefree, that in multiples would made a great hedge. Its best feature: In May, 3-to 4-inch chains of yellow flowers drip from the branches.
