I’m a pretty new gardener and I tried Siberian tomatoes this year [my first edible plant!]. I used a pot because I live in NYC and don’t trust the soil. Anyway I was so pleased to see so many tomatoes so soon, but I am uncertain as to when to pick them. I picked one yesterday that was quite red. I cut it open rather excitedly but was disappointed to find it mealy and gross.
Did I pick it too soon? Or should I have picked it when it just started to turn color and then let it ripen indoors? I have found so much conflicting information on the internet that I thought I’d turn to you, THE expert on everything!
Thanks, as always.
