I’ve had pretty good luck every year with basil. You can probably still start some from seed if plants aren’t available. I do both. Keep pinching the tops off when they start to flower and you’ll have it into the fall. 6 or 8 plants will give you enough to use throughout the summer, and a couple batches of pesto.
