I have a rabbit living under my deck. The rabbit doesn’t do much damage to my plants, but the dog goes nuts and has trampled my beds surrounding the deck. I’ve tried Liquid Fence deer and rabbit repellant, but it doesn’t seem to work. (I guess if a barking dog who urinates all around the deck isn’t enough deterrant, what else would be?) Any other suggestions?
Have you tried a have-a-heart trap? This has worked well for me for several types of animals, although I have not tried rabbits. We have however had a groundhog which died in a trap- so be prepared that you may find an injured animal and have a plan for what you will do with the rabbit (injured or not).
There is a product that is safe and effective for dettering animals, it is called STAY AWAY automatic pet detterrent. It is an aerosol (compressed air) that has a motion detector to scare animals from specific areas, we use ours in the house to keep our cats from certain areas. If you use it outside maybe you could set it in a box to keep water off it. It’s small, about 11″ tall, costs about fifty dollars and it’s effective!
