This year, for the first time, I’m ‘officially’ harvesting rain water to water my plants. This eco-friendly solution is not only helping the environment, but it’s helping to keep my water bill low and the plants are loving it!
I started using a home grown water barrel this year, made from an existing heavy plastic garbage container fashioned with a shut off valve for quick filling of my watering can. I’m starting small but would one day like to have several rain barrels to collect the water and reuse it.
Is anyone else using a similar method of rain water harvesting?
