My biggest garden pest, literally, was/is our yellow lab (aptly named Terra by my husband long before we knew each other). She was eating the tips off the snow pea vines and my green tomatoes, plus pawing at the potato mound. We now have a 48" high fence of chicken wire around all but 12" inches of the garden; the last 12" are blocked with part of a trellis so that I can move it to get into the garden. Strangely enough, she hasn’t touched the yellow bell peppers or the onions.
