I don’t grow these beautiful plants here in Texas, but did in Oklahoma, having wonderful success by the simple addition of my orange and grapefruit peels as a topdressing each spring. No special routine (other than remembering not to toss the peels by the wayside), just cut them into bits and topdress the plants. I found that the peels also repelled insects. My plants grew amazingly and the flowers were absolutely stunning.
