Re: ground ivy – friend or foe?
I have to admit that this time of year ground ivy (Glechoma hederacea) is one of my favorite plants. The rest of the year I curse it as I pull it out of all of my beds again and again and again…, but it is so pretty when it is in bloom! I have some that I placed in a container with a fancy cultivar of forsythia (I don’t remember the name) because I love how it looks with the yellow blooms.
My final analysis is: it is always welcome in the lawn, but never in the beds.
