Specratacide is a combination of dicamba and some other herbicides (salts I think). Dicamba works by mimicking plant hormones that tell the plant to grow without stopping which kills the plant when it runs out of nutrients. Not being a biochemist, I really don’t know if your Hydrangeas will survive. Considering you are not seeing abnormal growth (just lack of growth) perhaps it is the salts rather than the dicamba that is affecting them- which I would guess are less harmful. I would try calling the company to see if they can give you more information and an idea of what could be done to help the hydrangea. A quick search on the Spectracide website gave me this number 1-800-917-5438.
