never stop wanting more plants, my garden mentor instilled in me 20-plus
years ago, regularly reminding me of another gardener, past 90, who still lusts
for every new thing he can get a cutting of. I promise not to, until I myself
am back in the soil.

Hi Margaret,
I just heard you speak at the Master Gardener Symposium down in Princeton, NJ this past Saturday. You were excellent! However, I have been in search of one of your recommended plants and have come up empty handed. Is there anyone in this country who has Pulmonaria ruba? I need it! But it seems it is sold out everywhere in the US. Only garden centers who list having it are in the U.K. What’s a girl to do??? Any info you can share?
Thanks,
Marie
Welcome, Marie. Well, it used to be at Heronswood (I don’t shop there since new ownership, so I don’t know if they still sell it). I have written to some nurseries to ask whether they have/can get after seeing your comment. Didn’t used to be so hard to find. Also look for ‘Redstart’ (a selection of rubra) — and I will, too.
