Corydalis solida, which grows from a bulb-like tuber, is one of the earliest corydalis to bloom for me each year. A cousin of bleeding heart and all the Dicentras, it is a small ephemeral perennial of less than a foot tall and wide, and selections with darker purple or reddish-pink flowers can also be had. Seneca Hill (in my Sources list) usually offers a version. Charming.
