The native celandine poppy, much more refined that its weedy Asian cousin, is the easiest and most prolific of informal shade garden plants. Its golden flowers, which appear on and off from spring into summer, are followed by showy, fuzzy seedpods that spread the plant around with abandon in the woodland garden.
