THE 2013 EVENTS CALENDAR features three garden Open Days (May, June and August, with plant sales and other goings-on); lectures I’m co-organizing that feature garden author and fruit expert Lee Reich, heirloom seed expert Ken Greene of Hudson Valley Seed Library, and the Fabulous Beekman 1802 Boys, plus workshops by Ken Druse and other guest experts; and talks I’m giving throughout New England. Thursday, April 11, 10:30 AM: “The 365-Day Garden” lecture for Roxbury Bridgewater Garden Club, Roxbury, CT. Continental breakfast at 10:30 is followed by the lecture; tickets $5. Reservations should be phoned in to Ann at (860) 354-5575 as seating is limited.

Wednesday, April 17, 11:00 AM: “The 365-Day Garden” lecture to benefit Wyckoff Area Garden Club Spring Fundraiser. Wyckoff Reformed Church, 580 Wyckoff Aveue, Wyckoff, New Jersey. Tickets $25.00 in advance, from Garden Club President Janet Schulz at 201-891-3784. Doors open at 10, program at 11.

 April 19th 12 -1:30 PM: “Meet an Author” lunch, reading and conversation at Hickory Stick Bookshop, Washington Depot, CT. Ticket includes a book, a catered lunch, and discussion time with our guest authors–all for the price of the book. Sunday, April 27: Lecture to benefit the Columbia County (NY) Historical Society at Kinderhook Reformed Church, 21 Broad St., Kinderhook. Lecture only, $7, $5 for CCHS members. Lecture and reception, $35 in advance, $40 at the door.
